Special session: Blockchain technologies
The development of the digital economy is changing the ways of modern business and the exchange of digital information. In the digitalization world, data and information are traded intensively and the need for securing the transfer of transactions across the network arises. Consistent integrity of data and records in modern distributed information systems can be achieved using blockchain technologies. Blockchain applications are based on distributed ledgers, cryptography, consensus protocols and smart contracts. This special session covers all aspects of blockchain technologies and their role in modern e-business ecosystems, including, but not limited to:
- blockchain architecture, components, protocols and consensus algorithms
- smart contracts
- NFT and metaverse – technologies and applications
- new business models, applications and implementations (e-commerce, supply chain, manufacturing, industry, transport, government, legal, fintech, healthcare, arts, sports, gaming etc.)
- integration of blockchain with other emerging technologies
- security and privacy aspects of blockchain
- sustainability and social impact
- law and regulation aspects of blockchain
- education for blockchain
Blockchain technologies special session is organized within ACE-W3 Center of excellence, in cooperation of the University of Florida and the University of Belgrade, supported by the Algorand Foundation.
