D-PBL Student workshop

The purpose of the 2nd E-business technologies conference (EBT) is to bring together leading professors, scientists, researchers, engineers and practitioners, leading IT companies, PhD students interested in the field of e-business. Primary goal is to establish a platform for strategic networking on national and international level, portray innovations and disseminate knowledge for wide corpus of scientist and experts in the field of digital business ecosystems.

Special Session: “Project-based learning in multinational teams: Developing Customer Journey Maps” will be organized as part of the EBT conference, as an event of the Erasmus+ project “D-PBL: advancing project-based learning into the Digital Era”, financed within the KA2 program for cooperation partnerships in higher education. D-PBL project aims to combine digital teaching-learning with project-based learning, applied in an international context.

This year’s topic is going to be Customer Journey Mapping. We decided to choose this theme because Customer Journey Mapping represents the lifeblood of every business, so it’s crucial for young people who are learning about digital marketing, IT entrepreneurship, UX or software design to get familiar with this concept.

Customer Journey Mapping creates a visual representation of what our customers go through with our product or service. The creation of a journey map puts the organization directly in the mind of the consumer, so they can see and understand their customer’s processes, needs, and perceptions. Customer experience represents the future either of start-ups or huge corporations. CJM requires building a complete picture of the customer whose journey they are going to capture on the map. Step by step, by analyzing the customer’s demographic and psychographic data, students will find out information about a customer, such as their hobbies, goals, expectations, skills, and many other details. So, participants in this project will not only handle basic demographical data, just the opposite, they will meet a customer in every segment of their personality.

To conclude, Customer Journey Mapping holds an important place in modern business, so students will have the chance to learn many things they can practically utilize in their future careers.

Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn to think about the client’s wishes and model their journey through a specific service. Workshop begins with introductory lectures in the form of video clips that provide detailed explanations about CJM. During the conference, we will provide a specific case, and the task to develop a customer journey map. In addition, you will obtain instructions about the platform Bubble.io – a no-code tool that allows you to create web applications without code, so you can start implementing your solutions based on customer journey maps you developed.

No prior knowledge about CJM is needed. All you need is the desire to meet students from other countries, and work in an international team. You will work in international groups of 4-5 people and each group will work on a case that needs to be solved. Work will be organized in virtual teams, using Mattermost platform. Finally, you will have the chance to present your solutions to others.

This is the perfect opportunity to gain new experiences through teamwork, and make international friends. All students who successfully complete the workshop task will be awarded a certificate for participation.
